ARCA WEST: Engine failure spoils ‘last-second change of plans’ for Quinn Davis in Tri-City

Quinn Davis finished last for the 1st time in her ARCA Menards Series West career in Saturday’s NAPA Auto Care 150 Greg Biffle Memorial at Tri-City Raceway when her No. 77 King Taco / FLAV R PAC / Bulldog Toyota fell out with mechanical issues after 25 of 150 laps.
The finish came in Davis’ second career ARCA West start.
Davis’ first appearance in ARCA came at the 2025 ARCA Menards Series East race at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, where she scored an impressive top-10 finish on debut, placing ninth for Tim Goulet’s Rise Motorsports team. She followed this with an additional four starts for the team on the national ARCA Menards Series tour, where she continued to earn a reputation for outperforming her equipment. Her 19th-place result at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park was her only finish outside of the top-15 all season - she placed 11th at Elko, 15th at Iowa, and 12th at Madison - all without a single DNF.
For 2026, Davis joined City Garage Motorsports for the full ARCA East season, intending on teaming with Logan Misuraca and Becca Monopoli for an all-female driver lineup within the organization. Originally slated to drive CGM’s No. 5 entry, she later moved to the No. 85 after it was announced that Monopoli had left the team just before the start of the season. Davis’ best result of 2026 so far came at the ARCA national/East combination race at Toledo, equalling her Madison result from 2025 with another 12th-place finish.
On Saturday, Davis drove Joe Nava’s No. 77 entry for Performance P-1 Motorsports after earning a late call-up to make her second start with the team. Davis had previously been with the team for Tucson, where she ran as high as third before fading to 13th on worn tires. Unfortunately, her second outing in the No. 77 was short-lived, lasting only 25 laps before an engine failure ended her evening early.

In total, 16 cars appeared on the entry list. The Tri-City race was dubbed the “Greg Biffle Memorial” in honor of the late driver, as it was ARCA West’s first race in Biffle’s home state of Washington since the accident. Hailie Deegan’s Bill McAnally Racing team changed the font of her No. 16 Chevrolet to resemble the font Biffle made famous with Roush Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series, while Mason Massey’s No. 19 entry also ran a similar font change. Deegan qualified a strong third, while anchoring the field with a qualifying time of 20.710 seconds was Shasta last-place finisher Josiah Reaume. Reaume’s second career start was a solid improvement over his debut as he earned a top-10 finish.
Following Davis up the running order were Jade Avedisian, Deegan, and Eric Johnson Jr., all of whom sustained damage in a Lap 109 multi-car accident. While Avedisian and Deegan’s cars both suffered terminal damage, Johnson soldiered on to a 13th-place result, the final car running at the finish. Rounding out the Bottom Five was Colorado last-place finisher David Smith.
At the front of the field, Cole Denton picked up his second win of the season, though points leader Trevor Huddleston kept most of his lead with a strong runner-up finish. Mia Lovell scored her career-best result in third, while Robbie Kennealy and Mason Massey rounded out the Top Five.
