PREVIEW: A couple missing full-timers among the entry list storylines for Kansas

There are exactly 36 trucks entered for as many starting spots, so all will qualify.
DRIVER CHANGE: #2-Team Reaume
All three of Josh Reaume’s trucks have different drivers this week, starting with Stephen Mallozzi, who makes just his second start of the year and first since Watkins Glen, where he ran 22nd. He pilots the #2 in place of Luke Baldwin, who finished 19th last week in Bristol. This will be Mallozzi’s first Truck Series start at Kansas.
DRIVER CHANGE: #5-TRICON Garage
Brent Crews will also make only his second Truck Series start of 2026, his first since his pole and 7th-place finish in that same Watkins Glen race. Instead of piloting TRICON Garage’s #1 from that race, he will instead run the #5, taking the place of Bristol runner-up Bayley Currey, who earned a career-best finish that night.
RETURNING: #20-McAnally-Hilgemann Racing
Daniel Dye returns to the Truck Series garage for the first time since Michigan, where he ran 15th with this same part-time entry out of the McAnally garage. This will be Dye’s third start of the season for McAnally and his sixth of the season, counting the first three rounds with Kaulig RAM Racing. Champion Container is again the sponsor.
DRIVER CHANGE: #22-Team Reaume
Clayton Green will make his eighth series start of 2026 and first since his 31st-place finish in North Wilkesboro. Then as now, Green drives the #22 with sponsorship from Badass Workbench. This time, he takes the place of Jackson Macenko, whose flat tire led to a minimum speed penalty during the early laps at Bristol, leaving him with last-place finishes in both his series starts.
DRIVER CHANGE: #25-Kaulig RAM Racing
On the same week as news of Tony Stewart’s run for this team in the upcoming race at Talladega, Conor Daly is still another driver making his second series start of the year in tomorrow’s race, his first since a 26th-place showing with this team at IRP. He takes the place of Regan Smith, whose own NASCAR return in Bristol resulted in a 23rd-place finish.
DRIVER CHANGE: #26-Rackley-W.A.R.
This week sees Toni Breidinger swap in for Dawson Sutton, but unlike their similar arrangement at Loudon, there will not be a second entry brought in for Sutton. Sutton has elected to skip this race so he can compete in Saturday’s Super Late Model race at Five Flags Speedway, and will return to the Truck Series in Charlotte. For Breidinger, this will be her fourth series start of the season, her first since IRP where she finished in 25th. She’s finished better than that in both her previous Truck starts at Kansas, taking 15th in 2023 and 20th last year.
DRIVER CHANGE: #33-Team Reaume
Another full-timer not making the trip to Kansas is Frankie Muniz, who will instead be competing in the GT4 race at Barber Motorsports Park, where his Ford-backed effort is in the thick of the championship hunt. Team owner Josh Reaume will drive in Muniz’ place, and Muniz is expected to return along with Sutton in Charlotte. Kanas mark the eighth series start of the season for Reaume, his first since a 27th-place showing in Lime Rock Park.
MISSING: #56-Hill Motorsports
Timmy Hill is not among this week’s entrants following a 22nd-place result in Bristol.
DRIVER CHANGE: #62-Halmar-Friesen Racing
Leland Honeyman, Jr. will make his third series start and first since his 17th-place showing in Richmond as he again runs the second entry for HFR with DPR Construction as sponsor. Honeyman takes the place of O’Reilly Auto Parts Series regular William Sawalich, who took 7th in Bristol.
MISSING: #75-Henderson Motorsports
DRIVER SWAP: #77-Spire Motorsports
Last week’s Bristol race saw Nick Sanchez substitute for an ill Parker Kligerman in the Henderson #75. The result saw him charge from the last row up to 20th by the checkered flag, the first truck off the lead lap. While the Henderson team isn’t running this week, Sanchez will still drive, this time taking the place of 5th-place Bristol finisher Tristan McKee in the Spire #77.
DRIVER CHANGE: #76-Freedom Racing Enterprises
Bristol proved to be a difficult NASCAR national series debut for Caden Kvapil, whose engine let go midway through the race, leaving him in 35th. Team owner Spencer Boyd returns to the truck this week with American Freight Furniture & Mattress as sponsor of his Chevrolet. This will also mark Boyd’s 170th series start.
MISSING: #90-Terry Carroll Motorsports
Justin S. Carroll is not among this week’s entrants, one week after his fifth DNQ of the season in Bristol.
RETURNING: #93-Costner Motorsports
Caleb Costner returns to action for the first time since his 27th-place result in Michigan, and this time doesn’t have to worry about a DNQ like in his latest attempt at Richmond. He carries the names of his supporters on his #93 Chevrolet, listed as “One Team – Fan Driven Costner Motorsports.”

TODAY IN LASTCAR HISTORY (September 25, 2004): Jack Sprague picked up the 3rd last-place finish of his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career when his #16 Chevy Trucks Chevrolet qualified 4th, but lost the engine after only 5 laps of the Las Vegas 350 at Las Vegas.
