Jonathan Reaume finished last for the 2nd time in his ARCA Menards Series West career in Saturday’s NAPA Auto Parts 150 at All American Speedway when his No. 72 Strike Mamba Racing Chevrolet fell out with suspension issues after 9 of 150 laps.
The finish came in Reaume’s fifth career West Series start.
Reaume’s first last-place finish came two races ago at Tri-City Raceway, where a late-race spin sent him to the back of the running order. Despite finishing last, a short field allowed Reaume to collect 12th-place points. After handing the driver’s seat over to Austin Varco at Portland, Reaume stepped back into the car this weekend, where a similarly short field of just 14 entries once again guaranteed the last-place finisher at least 30 points.
On Saturday, however, Reaume’s night was much shorter. The driver experienced contact with the wall early in the event, leading him to pull his No. 72 off the track shortly thereafter. While both Reaume and the Strike Mamba Racing team’s social media accounts have not been updated since Saturday’s race, both Racing-Reference and The Third Turn list his “reason out” as “suspension” rather than an accident or crash.
Following Reaume up the running order was R.J. Smotherman, whose first ARCA-sanctioned start since 2023 ended with brake issues after 94 laps. Smotherman’a was the only other DNF from the race. David Smith followed in 12th place, improving one position from his starting spot after sharing the last row on the grid with Reaume. Smith completed 141 laps, five fewer than Todd Souza, whose return to the driver’s seat after also sitting out Portland ended with an 11th-place result. Rounding out both the Bottom Five and Top Ten was Blake Lothian, who spun on Lap 108 but recovered to finish just one lap down to the leaders.
Up front, Robbie Kennealy took his first career series win, an emotional victory for the young driver as it came one year after the sudden passing of his father on the same race weekend in 2024. Series points leader Trevor Huddleston finished second, while his High Point Racing teammate Andrew Chapman scored a third-place result in only his second career ARCA West start.
